Based on the clinical evaluation, the SAP provides specific referrals for education or treatment tailored to your case.

04

Final RTD Reporting

Final reports are submitted to the Clearinghouse and your employer, establishing your testing schedule for a legal return-to-duty.

Who Needs a DOT SAP Evaluation?

Federal DOT regulations mandate a SAP evaluation for any safety-sensitive employee who has violated drug and alcohol rules. Our bilingual sessions are available for:

  • CDL Drivers & FMCSA Regulated Roles: Commercial truck and bus drivers with violations.
  • Positive Test Results: Employees who have tested positive for controlled substances or alcohol.
  • Refusal to Test: Any individual who has refused a required DOT drug or alcohol test.
  • Clearinghouse Violations: Drivers with violations reported in the FMCSA Clearinghouse.
  • Regulated Sectors: Safety-sensitive roles in Aviation, Railroad, Transit, and Pipeline.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the timeline for a DOT SAP evaluation?

Initial evaluations are typically scheduled within 24–48 hours. The total duration of the program depends on your timely completion of assigned treatment or education steps and the subsequent follow-up assessment.

Are virtual sessions available in PA and NJ?

Yes. I offer secure, HIPAA-compliant virtual evaluations for safety-sensitive employees in both Pennsylvania and New Jersey. You can attend your session using any camera-enabled device from a private location.

What paperwork and documentation do I need?

Please have a valid government-issued photo ID (like your CDL) and information regarding the positive test or violation from the Clearinghouse or your employer’s Designated Employer Representative (DER).

Will you communicate with my employer?

As your SAP, I am required to coordinate directly with your employer’s DER. I provide the initial and follow-up clinical reports necessary for your return-to-duty pathway while maintaining professional compliance.
